ABOUT THE PROJECT:
LOUIS VUITTON (2021)
Created as a multidimensional tribute to heritage, this collaboration with Louis Vuitton was developed for the Maison’s 200-year anniversary as part of the #LOUIS200 campaign. Invited to interpret the legacy of Louis Vuitton and the visionary spirit of its founder, Constantin Prozorov imagined a surreal virtual journey that connects the Maison’s past, present, and future through his signature animated collage language.
Centered around the iconic trunk, the work reflects Louis Vuitton’s history of travel and innovation while introducing a dreamlike contemporary universe inspired by the Maison’s evolving creative identity. Through layered digital composition, symbolism, and cinematic storytelling, Prozorov transformed the trunk into a vessel of discovery, arriving from outer space to reveal, absorb, and protect the beauty of the planet.
“The artwork was inspired by three ideas: past, present, and future. The trunk represents Louis Vuitton’s heritage and the innovative spirit of its founder, while Virgil Abloh’s final collection opened the work into a more contemporary and surreal world. For me, the animated collage becomes a virtual journey of discovery, a future vision where the trunk reveals the beauty of our planet,” says Prozorov.
The work was showcased in Louis Vuitton boutique windows globally and later toured as part of a group exhibition beginning in Paris and travelling to Singapore, Los Angeles, and New York. The project remains a defining moment in Prozorov’s practice, positioning his surreal digital collage language within the Maison’s celebration of creativity, heritage, and imagination.
